Q & A

Please see the common questions below.  If your question in not addressed, feel free to contact us.

Does Encore have a track record?

Encore is in its 5th fun filled year and is proud to have been one of the few camps open and operating in 2020 & 2021 and retained a perfect safety record. With hundreds of campers in attendance annually, we are now able to be even more flexible and interactive for 2024, including fall, winter, spring and our full summer camps.  Participating children are able to attend week to week or full season programs.

Will camp Encore have camp every week during the summer?

We have camp sessions every week (please check for exceptions of the week of 4 of July) and offer many of the same classes multiple weeks, so you can customize your child’s summer program based on their favorite activities and camps.

How does pricing work for camps?

You will see listed prices with each camp program.  Camps are either one week or three weeks. See question below if you are interested in a full summer program. Generally full day camp programs (9A - 3P) are $375+ and afternoon camps/aftercare start at $145+ per week. There is a 10% discount when booking more than 5 camps per family in a single order and additional 10% discounts for siblings taking a class.

What if I wanted to enroll my child/children all summer long?

Encore offers a Run of the Camp full summer drop-in program.  This allows you to have full access to all 10 camps for the each of the 9 available weeks so you do not have to pre-select the camps including both day and afternoon sessions.  Special pricing is $3,200 ($355 per week) for the first child and under $2,880 for siblings. (Please contact us for special prorated pricing during the summer based on availability).

When is payment due for the camp? Is financial aid/scholarship available?

Upon checkout, you will be given to option to pay in full or to take advantage of a payment plan which charges each week before that particular camp.  Please contact us if you are in need of financial assistance.

If we need to change class or week, is there a penalty?

We are able to move dates if you need to change camp to another week with no penalty, but space is limited so if you do need to change please do so early.  No refunds are offered unless a camp is cancelled and unavailable.

Does camp Encore have any field trips scheduled for summer?

We have suspended field trips for summer 20244.

How does pick up & drop off work?

Camp drop off starts from 8:30 and pick up times are 3PM and 5:15PM. Latest pick up time is 5:45. Gates will open at 8AM and remain open until 6PM.  If you needed an earlier drop off or later pick up please contact us for individual accommodations. You will receive additional camp details in your welcome kit.

What should my child bring to camp?

Encore does not provide lunch. Please send campers with a lunch each day in an insulated lunch box. We also suggest two snacks for breaks. Please send children with water, sunscreen and hats.  Due to allergies, please avoid sending food with nuts.  Attire should be comfortable and based on the week's activities. Please bear in mind that even classroom style camps will also have some outdoor activity involved.

Who are instructors? Is there a nurse onsite? What about security?

Our instructors are school teachers, museum staff, certified counselors, and other professionals such as martial artists, photographers, chefs, music instructors and artists.  We have staff experience with first aid as well as security staff throughout the camp.  With the gated facility and parent/guardian pick up protocols, you can feel confident your kids are in good hands.

WE LOVE TO GET FEEDBACK

In this climate things are changing daily and we are interested in hearing from parents about their ideas and suggestions.  With the extended isolation this year is unique and we want to support you and your kids mental health. Please contact us with questions or comments on how we can make this the most valuable experience for your children.
